Miss deadline but still receive email confirmation
The deadline for Credit Suisse's summer internship was on Nov 1, 2013. I just realize that and submit my application online today. I still receive a confirmation email stating that my application has been received and will be reviewed. Do you think I still have a chance?
I think it's unlikely and I can't think of any precedent to suggest you would be considered. It may have been an automated message that is sent when your application goes through.
Yeah, it seems likely. Should I be aware of any BB's deadline that is already passing. I am finishing all my application this week, but it's good to know ahead.
I doubt it. They are really strict on their deadlines. Additionally-- they have target schools (your usual suspects), plus "non-core" schools, which get invited to their virtual recruiting portal (Duke, UMich, Claremont McKenna, Brown, even my big non-target state school). I imagine that if you aren't a participant in either one of these it's hard to get a response from the online submission portal.
I sent my application in to a BB last March before I learned about WSO and got a similar e-mail. You can imagine the result..
wait what?? this is for NYC?
NYC deadline for SAs was Friday (nov 1st)
Don't count on it but don't be surprised.

All that I know of recently: PiperJaffray is tomorrow.. Jefferies was Nov 1, GS is 11/18, Barclays is rolling (heard 12/31 informally though), JPM is unlisted (JPM EMEA 11/24), MS 2/1 (EMEA 12/12),
