MM Intern - Worth Trying to Recruit for FT or Just Wait to Lateral?

Intern at a top MM from non-target with a return offer in hand. Looking to join a BB. Have been networking pretty hard last couple weeks with not a lot of traction. Given what should be a tough FT process given macro headwinds, does it make more sense to just take the offer and try lateraling out 6 months - 1 year after I've started? Feels like I'm spinning my wheels on FT recruiting with little ROI.

Advice would be appreciated, thank you.

impressed that you fit so much banker jargon into such a small space
