MM PE interview while interning at M&A
A headhunter approached me and got me an interview with a top-notch MM PE shop. First-round telephone interviews went really well and I got invited for a personal interview at their office. Unfortunately, this interview is on a work day...
Options are: calling in sick, excuse for taking day off or telling the truth. Certainly, I dont want to ruin my chances for a FT at the M&A firm.
What are your thoughts? How to handle this situation?
I would tell the truth. Maybe you can leverage that into an offer from the boutique.
I'd come up with a good lie.
