Move from CB to IB. Advice needed.

Hi all.

I'm a junior relationship manager in corporate banking at a large Asian bank in Western Europe. Was offered FT for this role after the 6 months extended summer analyst program, and at the time it seemed like a good start considering the large exposure to syndicated deals (which is my current focus). Have to mention that I joined directly after bachelor's. The plan was to get some experience first, then do a master’s, then try to get into IB for a while, and afterwards to the buy-side (HF). My time as a relationship manager is now short of 2 years, and I have also managed to enroll into an MFE program several months ago at a strong engineering school. My question is the following:

If my current employer agrees to give me enough time-off to finish my program while remaining FT, should I stick with this option for another 1.5 years and then try to move to IB, or should I rather look for part-time/working student positions in IB already now? I doubt that I could get time-off for studies as an offcycle/FT in IB.

Any further thoughts and suggestions are very welcome.
