Need Advice & Looking for a Mentor

Hi there, hope your weekend is going well. 24 year old guy here and as per the title I'm looking for advice & mentor. I worked in the Media & Telecom group of a Japanese IB on the C&IB division for about 1.5 years. Following a family emergency I had to take time off to take care of family and I figured it would be a great opportunity to recharge. I got a little too comfortable and realized I need to get back to working ASAP. It's been 1.5 years since my break ~ 8 months was spent taking care of family and the remainder I took off for myself. I realize I made the mistake of waiting too long, however I can't change the past. Looking for some genuine advice to enter back into the work force and a potential mentor I could turn to for advice.
