Need advice on reneging!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

A few weeks ago, I signed an offer for a Portfolio Management type SA position at a MM bank. However, I recently got an offer to do public finance at another reputable bank (think Wells Fargo, Jefferies type). I am pretty interested in public finance as a long term career, so I would definitely like to take this opportunity. However this would mean I would have to renege, which I know is frowned upon. I was wondering if I could get some input from this forum on 1. If I should renege and 2. If I should, what is the best way I could go about doing it?

Any input is valued and appreciated!

They won't GAF. Just send a polite email to HR about how your interests have changed and that you can no longer participate in the internship program at X Company.
