Network BB

Not to say anything bad of the company just share a little personal experiences.

from a target school of this bb

I reached out to three people in the bank
one replied my email saying they will be on campus the next day so ask questions there and reach out back with questions. I went to all the events and reached out back but he never replied.

The other guy replied my email and scheduled a time with me. When I called him, he picked up, said his needed to reschedule this call, and promised to get back. I said sure and followed up him twice never got a reply.

Now, I’ve heard the company has finished its recruitment. An alumni got back to me and said he’s happy to chat. When we were calling, he was so so passive and after around 10 mins, he said he needed to hang up for another call then hung up. I felt he just wasn’t wanting to talk to me.

Might be I am so bad at talking to people but my time is still time. Feel very sad since the bb is so closely connected w my school. but networking is always like this

I mean here is the thing, you shot your shot at those three alumni and it didn't work. You still are hard working, smart, and capable. Maybe this bank was not your destination, but if recruiting for this bank is not over try some more, or just aim for another bank. I am sure many people are willing to talk to you and possibly help you attain an offer at their bank. I understand this sounds overly optimistic and positive, and may not be what you are looking to hear. I would suggest if you think it is on you for being a bad converser, is to look yourself in the mirror and practice having conversations with yourself. Or write down script conversations, to better prepare you, or talk to everyone you interact with on a daily basis in a way you would during a networking call. Will you feel stupid? yes, of course, but it is truly the best way to get better at it. Have confidence in yourself and keep your chin up. you will find a job and you will be successful. you have the intelligence and the work ethic, keep on chugging through these hard times.
