Networking during holidays
I am interested specifically about emails/written form.
Should "happy holidays" be mentioned in the message and how should I go about it?
Few examples for Easter would be nice. I am not a native speaker so I am not sure how should it sound.
Thanks.
meh, i wouldn't say happy holidays for easter. just christmas if you're going to say it at all. not of any importance either way if you say it or not
thanks @urchin24 anyone else?
Don't say it. Just say 'Regards"
Holiday Blackout for cold e-mailing? (Originally Posted: 12/12/2012)
When should the blackout period be for cold emailing?
I'm thinking email up until Wednesday, the 19th and then don't send any more out until Monday, January 6th, thoughts?
For reference, Christmas is Tuesday the 25th (obviously) and New Years is the following Tuesday (I this year it falls on the 1st...).
Should I be more willing to send out stuff around New Year's? I could start on Thursday, January 3rd. Should I be assuming most people won't take off for Christmas until Saturday, the 22nd?
Do you guys think people will be in a more welcoming mood on those days?

last try...
I've never done it so take my advice with a grain of salt. The answer will depend upon the rank of the individual you're targeting. Analyst? Sure, why not. Hit 'em up. MD/Partner/some other BSD? I would wait until business starts up again for two reasons:
1) They'll probably want work to be the farthest thing from their mind and will be annoyed if they have to do something related to it. 2) If they don't check their email for a couple days during a holiday shut down, you risk having your email being buried by other emails during that time and the chances of it being noticed will probably drop significantly.
That would be my approach, hope it helps. Good luck!
