How important is networking for recruiting? I know HH are the gatekeepers but how crucial is it to reach out over the summer to talk to associates/VPs at the funds you're targeting? Specifically asking for MM firms ($900mm-5bn). Also, would it make sense to request a coffee chat with an associate/VP if you're in your target PE city over the summer?
