Networking outside of desired career path
Currently have decent connections in banks, but problem is they’re not in the division (IBD) I want to work in. Believe one is a senior credit officer and portfolio manager, which from my knowledge isn’t that close to IBD. Another one might be retiring soon before I’m able to recruit. Are these connections worth pursuing to where they’d be able to help w/ recruiting? Or should I focus my networking w/ ppl in divisions I want to go in?
