Networking with Capital Markets people help for IB recruiting?
Does networking with capital markets people help for IB coverage group recruiting?
I've heard differing opinions from many different people so not too sure what to believe. My guess is that it is firm-dependent as some firms have said that their capital markets and IB teams huddle together to make decisions, but others seem to separate those two recruiting processes out.
Why don’t you just network with people directly in the team you are interested in?
