Next job change

Hello, I just got a job in JP Morgan Chase. Though, it is more of a operations job and is in Delaware. I am looking for more opportunities and looking to get involved in other projects within the team. I have done a Masters in Economics and also have 2+ years of Buy-side experience.

What would you suggest with my profile : a. work in the current role for next 1 year and then look for opportunities in JPMC and other companies in NY? b. work in the current role for next 6 months and start looking for other opportunities?

My long term goal is to work in the Asset Management industry as a PM or a Research analyst.

Thank you in advance !

You'll not be able to move internally a 1yr in at JPM. Managers will block that, and you'll burn all networking capital at the same time.

26 Broadway where's your sense of humor?

any suggestions, on how early it would be safe to change the job? something which won't look too bad... 4 months, 6 months or more than that ?

any thoughts will be really appreciated ? how early would it be safe to change jobs, so that it does not look bad on my resume and also, I can approach my network to tell them "I am looking for a job.".

Honestly, a year is ideal. That way you can at least say you put some time into it.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.
