Next Steps for Sophomore at Low-Tier BB in Quant S&T

I'm a sophomore from a target (HYPS) who is incoming at a low-tier BB in their NYC quantitative S&T division as a summer analyst, and I was wondering what options I might have for junior year and moving forward from there? This is a junior year position but I was given the offer, so I guess I have more freedom to explore/go deeper my junior year now. I expected to recruit for IBD at the firm but they came back with a quant finance position that was better suited for me, so I'm not really sure where to go from here. I honestly don't really know anything about quant finance or S&T, but I have the technical skills for it so I was offered the position. Thus, I'm gonna have to figure out a new career trajectory. With 2023 recruiting coming up in the next few months, I was wondering what options I should keep a look out for. Thanks!
