No interviews for 2024

I need some advice as a 2025 graduate. I'm a 3.5 GPA nontarget student with solid clubs and an internship at a private equity firm this summer. I've applied to over 50 positions for 2024 in various fields (IB, Sales and Trading, Asset Management, etc.). I've done a ton of hirevues and had 4 first-rounders, however, I haven't gotten a super day and obviously no offers. I'm unsure what to do from here besides networking and sending out more apps. Any advice?

Have you been networking? When did you start applying and networking? Sad reality is that Summer 2024 interviews kicked off as early as February, with networking starting in Dec/Jan by most kids at my school (UVA). Banks have also been hiring very little with many having hiring freezes. You can always re recruit FT, and maybe go back to your current PE firm junior summer. Good luck with everything!

My advice… Go look at middle markets/regionals that opened their apps in late-summer/fall last year and go for any places where their apps haven’t opened yet and start grinding networking, cold calls, whatever u can to get a first round. Once you’re in the process, that’s up to you to lay the pipe and finish. You just need one bank to give you a first round to get an offer.
