Not interviewed due to fit issues, dinged for full-time/ lateral chances?

Hi guys,

I'm an MBA student and got refused to interview by a couple dream banks, think it's due to fit issues (I'm more of an awkward person). Am I dinged for all future opportunities as well?

Totally aware that negative impressions stays almost forever, and I'm worried about being banned for lifetime. Any thoughts from a current banker's perspective?

How would you know if its a "fit issue" if you didn't interview?

It was the MBA recruiting process for some EBs. I networked and attended all events, showed strong interest, but didn't get interviews. Sorry for the confusion

I would worry less about these banks' long-term impression of you and focus on determining why you arent nailing the fit component. In my experience it is usually a result or nerves or not being yourself. From my knowledge, if the banks are big in size, you might have a tough time breaking into a specific group, but you certainly arent banned from the bank. As long as you just struggled with the fit questions, odds are during the huddle up people said "he wasnt confident / lacked personality / etc." and then never thought about you again

Thank you for the advice! I was looking into EBs so each team is pretty lean.

If I apply for the same team for full time, would they dock me bc they disliked me in the intern recruiting process?
