Off Cycle Internships

Hi guys

Just a quick question. I'm currently in my penultimate year of a bachelor in economics in the DACH region and wasn't able to secure a finance internship because of mandatory military service this summer and a visiting semester abroad.

Do you have any tips on how to gain relevant experience as fast as possible? I'm currently reading my ass of with Rosenbaum and Pearl and similar books to cover my lack in experience - don't know however if this really will help...

I know I don't stand a chance and therefore not aiming for BBs. I would be happy with smaller boutiques or similar before I start a masters degree. Would some off-cycle internships be an option? How are the full-time offers after off-cycle internships as an alternative to a masters degree?

I'm very thankful for any tips - I appreciate you guys.
