Offer Decision Delayed

Hey guys, quick question. I’ve been in the interview process for a F500 company’s strategy group for about a month now. I was told I would receive a decision today, but just got an email that the decision was delayed until Friday.

Anyone have experience with this? I was thinking that they offered a candidate already and were still waiting for a yes/no. Or maybe an interview got delayed? I guess there’s no way of knowing but any guesses from those who have more experience than me?
