offer letter wording

hey guys!

so in a friend's offer letter, it says the offer is conditioned upon the completion of a satisfactory reference check. she did not receive a FT offer from her SA stint, and she mentioned that in her interviews, but could the people from her SA stint screw her over? she doesn't want to accept the offer and then get screwed, so she wants to know if she should keep recruiting. the offer explodes in the next couple of days. thanks guys!

Shouldn't be a problem, they'll merely ask if they worked there or not. Most likely they'll be talking to HR, and if they get grunts and squeaks, that will serve as confirmation that everything is hunky dory. Dude, do you really have 'this friend' or is it you?

Just curious
