Offer rescinded or not?

Received a job offer which I accepted. After the background check HR got back to me and told me performance reviews are fine but there were some issues with personality/cultural fit (during my internship in another bank i didnt get along with the juniors but I did good work)

So now they are inviting me back to the office to grab drinks with the team to see if I get along with the culture.

Is this common and do you have any advice (after getting a ft stint i will get rid of the internship from my cv)

That's interesting that they even asked for performance reviews from other employers. At my bank and my friends banks, all they did has have a 3rd party verify dates and titles.

I had listed 5 internships on my FT background check, and I was a horrible fit for one of them, and I was scared they would say something. Nothing happened though.

Pretty weird situation but yeah what can we say

dont be a weirdo, don’t get wasted and know your alcohol limit before you fuck something up

be prepared to say why you weren’t a good fit in the previous internship

I hope it’s not your case but I’ve worked with people that are straight weirdos and I would never wanna work with them again
