Sorry! I added more details. But to answer your question, 2 Thursdays ago the recruiter replied back to my email indicating that they were still interviewing, and that he'd hope to have an update for me the following week, which was this past week. I didn't hear anything from him.
I had 3 rounds with BAML for a lateral including post-super day phone interviews with various directors and then literally never heard back -- followed up with every person I talked to the following day. Initially HR told me they didn't know why it was taking so long and I eventually quit bugging them.
This to all my hatin' folks seeing me getting guac right now..
@BillyRay05 The job is considered "experienced hire" although the job requirements are entry level in nature.
Even now the position is still "open" on their site so I have a little spec of hope if any. One part of me wants to call/email the HR person for another update, but another part of me thinks it would only piss him off since he probably has my number if he needs anything. At this point, a bit of closure would be really nice.
I've had interviews where I felt that I totally bombed and didn't even care for a rejection letter since I knew that it was a ding anyway. This particular interview went pretty well. Nothing fantastic but I held my own and thought that I had the right credentials to be a strong candidate after the interview.

Dinged, sorry buddy.
Ya not going to get that position. In the future, try to follow up sooner.
If this is for an OCR role or entry level role? One month is certainly a ding.
If its for an experienced hire role? Hard to say. I've rec'd an offer 1.5 months after interviewing once. Anything is possible...

Thanks for the help everyone.
