Panic after receiving offer

I just received an offer for a top IB shop. I fought a lot to get the offer, passing lots of rounds.

Nevertheless, this offer is for another city where I have no friends and I'm starting to think if I should decline it. I would stay at a mid tier BB in my current city and keep my friends, family and girlfriend close.

Something inside me tells me to be brave and that the risk is very limited as I can always come back with the experience and the bigger name but - is it even worth it? IB is quite hard anyway

Growth and development happens outside of your comfort zone. I know you've heard that but it's true when you actually practice that old adage. Don't be worried, dive into the new city and life. It's scary at first but after the first big move or first 2 moves, things get much less "scary." You grow and become more self reliant and secure within yourself with a new ability to connect with people of different backgrounds. Best advice, take the dive.

You work at a good place and live in a city where you have strong relationships. You have to be very career focused to move away from that. Take the upper tier BB offer if you have a clear idea on why you want a change and if this is the right role to attain your goals.

If you are experiencing panic, and your post title wasn't just using a hyperbole, you do want to consider your mental health and ability to cope in a new place on your own, and in a new job where you got to work harder to prove yourself.
