PE FoF Full time vs M&A Off-Cycle

Hi Everyone, I am in the process for an Full time Analyst position for a pretty big PE FoF (mainly Primaries, but also Secondaries and Co-Invetsment). I also have an offer for a 6 month internship for M&A in a second tier Bank. Both position based in Europe.
My mid/long term goal would be ideally working in a Private Equity direct, even though I will not dislike ending up in the future in a prestigious Secondaries or Co-investment fund.
Right know my priority it's a full time job but part of me also would feel a bit disappointed about dropping the IB career for the upcoming years.

Any Advice regarding my choice?
Thank you all
