Planning exit from consulting in 1yr to move to Dallas, trying to gameplan with this much runway

Currently working in consulting (most experience is with financial institutions), planning to exit around Dec 2025 to move to DFW to be with my partner. Will have around 1.5yr exp by that point. Network in DFW is a little thin, so I'd love some advice here.

- What time should I start networking with target firms (looking to be in consulting, tech, finance, or CPG in roughly that order)?

- When should I start applying for roles, if I'm trying to land a Jan 2026 start date?

- With a somewhat prestigious background, is there any sort of headhunting/recruiting firm things I should be doing?

- Any other advice would be great!
