Folks,

I have an interview coming up this week with a middle market IB firm. I would really appreicate if you folks can give me an idea what will be good questions to ask the Managing Director or VP.. so they get impressed...

In addition, what is the best way and the polished way to answer the following:

Why do you want to I banking?

Why this bank?

You r future in 10 year?

I know its sound simple but I wanted to hear ur input on it please all comments are welcome.. Thanks!

You have an interview in a few days and you're just now asking about good answers to those questions? And in any case, if WE have to tell you why YOU want to be in banking, maybe you shouldn't be interviewing in the first place.

Oh yeah...how're we supposed to tell you the answer to "Why this bank?" when we don't even know what bank you're interviewing at?

This post is ridiculous and I doubt your interview will go very well.

P.S. When interest rates rise, stock prices go down.

Q:Why ibank? A: because you pay so well

Q: Why this bank? A: because only you gave me an interview

Q: Your future? A: I donno yet.

Leftover Salmon,

Do you come with Ritz Crackers ya f#$%ing jackass?

Do you enjoy harassing people on this board, if you don't want to answer, save your fingers for the bathroom.

The reason they ask you these questions is because they want your answer - you're going to the interview, so why don't you tell them why youre there. Let's face it, if you're not there for the right reason, chances are you won't make it anyway, so be yourself. It doesn't help anyone if you fire off a cliche like "I wanna do ibanking coz ill be working with super talented individuals who shape the future of leading companies blah blah blah" because is your interviewer is any good he'll smell the bullshit from miles away.

Why this bank. Bulsshit away. Find a reason they'll like and say that's why. Lia as much as you want on this one. It doesnt matter.

Where will you be in ten years. Well, hopefully youll be at a hedge fund and not still in ibanking like your interviewer's sorry ass, but you donta wanna say that so you say that you wanna build a carrer and make md. who cares.

But once again, don't bs on why ibanking. Bacuse if you don't have a good reason (and money is good, but not good enough), all the crap that comes with the job will not be worth it.

Good luck.

Why do you want to do ibanking?
