Please help me choose these offers

I have an offer from BAML as a FO quant. I also have an offer from JPM quant research. As far as I understand, the latter belongs to middle office.
Could you possibly give me some advice on how to choose between the two?
How can you get this far down the line and not know EXACTLY what each role is?
