Please Help, S&T. I will carry out poo-hit for useful advice

Hey all, I am a recent MBA grad from wharton I got duped by a shitty consulting company during recruiting and the job was a debacle, so I just quit. I am looking at trying to get into a sales/trading position (or other front office), outside of the normal campus hire program. What advice can you give, beyond network? I have a good network but I am bad at networking. I have 7 years of work experience prior to MBA, but only 2 of it was at a bank, in ops. Also, the following questions: 1. Only my applications for things like project management and equity research are getting noticed. Should I pursue these and attempt a lateral transfer? How do I compare something like GS ops to UBS equity research, and should I hold out for a trading job? 2. I know its been a crappy year, and I know its bonus season. Will we see a pick up of hiring in capital markets? when? 3. Also I know most of these positions will be unposted. I get what the goal is supposed to be on a networking trip while in school, but now that I am out and unemployed, how should I play a meeting at a desk? Please don't fling monkey shit at me. I know I am not shooting for the stars. I did a few years in back office valuations prior to my MBA, so I am familiar with S&T. I just got sidetracked while at school. Also, I have a few years of military leadership and engineering experience, so I have that to my advantage in my resume. What do you think? How to proceed?

the fact that you keep on bumping this thread when you are a bigger troll than i am correlates nicely with the overall quality of your career choices

Have you considered using Pennlink again? I'm doing OCR right now as an undergrad whartonite, and alumns are welcome to apply I believe. And I suggest you speak to Career services, they are immensely helpful. They can help you with your poor networking skills.

Good Luck to you,
