Post-MBA IB Associate to AM
Curious to see if anyone has any ideas on transitioning from post-MBA IB associate to asset management. I used to work at an asset manager before going to business school, decided to recruit for banking to expand corporate finance skillset but with the idea of moving back to the buy-side in a couple of years before getting pigeon-holed.
It would be interesting to see if folks have been able to do this, or is this too far-fetched?
I really like financial markets, and I don't see myself going the usual corporate development route of a burned out post-MBA IB associate.
