Posters In Zoom Background?
I'm getting into recruiting for SA 2022, and I was wondering what thoughts were on zoom backgrounds, since interviews will be online. Specifically, I have a bunch of posters in my room, nothing crazy, mostly classic rock type stuff. What are people's thoughts on this? Pros: it can start a conversation and adds some personality, could be memorable. Cons: Unprofessional? Would especially appreciate feedback from analysts, associate, VP, who are actually interviewing. thanks
I personally don't care at all what is in the background, but you don't want it to be distracting.
christ dude just take them down for the fucking interviews if concerned... I hardly think the interviewer will start talking to you about ACDC or some shit. Did you seriously have to post about this?
You absolutely want to have posters going on in your background. You don't want to be the kid who gets dinged for not having John Belushi, Bob Marley, or Abbey Road in the background. Imagine explaining that to the guys at Northwestern Mutual next summer.
