Programming test in interview for ER
Hi, I have an interview with a canadian IB for Equity research associate position in ETFs. They mentioned in their job advertisement at my school they were looking for people with decent quantitative backgrounds. For my interview they said they would conduct a 30 min programming test, I was wondering if anyone had any insight to what this might entail, they didn't mention what language or what they would ask. I didnt lie on my resume, All I know is Matlab, VBA and Excel. They also said they might even ask some database management questions in the test.
Is this expected of an ER position? Also, if anyone has any experience can someone point to me to the right direction in terms of preparation?
Thanks, RKG
