Question about filling out IB applications

I just started filling out some investment banking applications and I noticed that almost all of them asked how I heard about the position and have options like Career Services, Linkedin, Job Board, Employee Referral, etc.
My question is this: Should I always choose the referral option for this section?
Once I select referral, they often ask the name of the person, so I think it has some meaning. Please let me know what you think.
Don't put referral unless someone referred you or offered to let you put them down as a referral…
