Question regarding cold calling/emailing.

I have access to some resources that include Bloomberg and CapIQ, would it be in poor taste to contact alumni through their account emails listed in such profiles?

I briefly considered using the chat function in Bloomberg with a quick request for an informational interview at their leisure. I imagine there could be quite a few people that may be too busy for such approaches.

Should I stick to just calling and emailing specific offices instead?
