Rambling in Interview - How to Compartmentalize and Organize Thoughts?

Had Zoom interview recently and felt like I was just rambling. Had a list of notes but felt like I still wasn’t organized. It’s fucked cause I can interview in-person a lot better (even without the notes). Any tips that’ll help with this in the long run, aside from the obvious mock interview? Incoming sophomore, so have a lot of time to develop better interview habits and want to be polished by next recruiting cycle. I know there isn’t a magical solution, but any long-term advice from people who’ve struggled with similar bad-practice interviewing would be greatly appreciated
