Reality of RX

Hello all,

I have a good chance of joining a top RX shop next year. Currently in coverage. Can current or former RX bankers tell me what I’m getting myself into? Is this a solid career path? If I get tired of RX, am I pigeonholed? My only understanding of RX culture comes from here and what I’ve read gives me second thoughts.

If you are at an EB RX you aren’t going to be pidgeon holed, but if you don’t actually love it you should just go to M&A. You are still going to be working in the group for 2 years before you’d leave to a PE job if that’s what your goal is. And M&A would bring you to the same place.
