Reasonable Internships for first time interns

What is a reasonable internship position to seek out in an investment bank? Are front office jobs reasonable, or do you have to do something in the back office? Im going to be talking to some people at Morgan Stanley this week and I have an opportunity to talk about my interests with them, is Asset Management internship or anything along those lines too much to ask for someone that has NEVER interned for an investment bank before. PLease help!

The size of your balls is true. You can have no experience what so ever. But if you are confident, that is all you probably need. I just got back from Morgan Stanley today as part of a program in our school to meet with executives in their offices in New York ( Do mock interviews, assist in resume writing, and hopefully network out of all things) . I told one of the execs who was an NYU alumn that I wanted to get in the industry, and I was prepared to do anything for it ( took alot of balls to say it considering the situation). I guess I piqued his interest somehow and after a long conversation about what I wanted to do he gave me his card and email address and told me he will help me out with an internship for spring or summer next year when it becomes available.

Its not a job but at least its a start.
