SMBC? If so, it’s technically not IB and you won’t get the certifications necessary. LevFin operates outside of the investment bank (Nikko securities). Not sure why, but a lot of the Japanese banks operate like this.
Thank you very much. So would my day-to-day be different than if it were within investment banking? What would I be missing out on necessarily, and would a role like this help me transition to investment banking?
