Recent graduate seeking IB NYC

I have recently graduated from a non target in May and have been working in private accounting for about a month. I know this is not what I want, I bit on the first role to get some experience and put money in my pocket. With that and a degree in finance, what steps should I take to try and break into IB? My goal is to make a switch in the fall. Cold calling? Networking? etc.? I had an interview with a boutique but got grilled on technicals, so all summer I plan on doing Wall Street Prep and practicing interview questions. Any advice would be great.
