Recruiting Event... How to make the best impression?

Hi all, I got a networking event next week with the IB team of a BB. How can I make the best out of it?

I think these events are often awkward as in a group of 4/5 students around 1 analyst, there is always one leading the conversation or asking shit all the time. I'm usually a rather calm and quiet person, and am not sure how to be louder without being an obnoxious dick.

Any tips on this type of events? I feel like I'd get a good grip with the team if I got to talk for once. I only been in 1 event of this type and I was rather surprised by how pushy folks are.
