Recruiting Question - Please Help

I'm a sophomore at a target about to recruit for SA 2026. I've searched this forum for answers to my question but couldn't find any:

On my resume, I'm currently in three finance-related clubs, and I have them all under my activities / leadership section. However, I am also a member of a few semi academic clubs (school newspaper, mock trial, etc) and am a research assistant for a professor.

Should I include these on my resume to help myself stand out, and if so, should I add them under my school in the education section? How would I title them, would activities or extracurriculars fit (however I already used activities for the finance club section so I doubt I can repeat it)?

They wouldn't fit unfortunately since I already have 3 finance clubs there and 2 internships + 1 incoming internship right above. I definitely wouldn't be able to add bullet points for these experiences but some of these (like the newspaper and research assistant position) take up lots of my time so I feel like I should mention it on my resume.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know:

  1. Inclusion of Semi-Academic Clubs and Research Assistant Role:

    • Yes, you should include these activities on your resume to help yourself stand out. They demonstrate a well-rounded profile and diverse skill set.
  2. Placement on the Resume:

    • Do not place these under the education section. Instead, create a separate section for these activities to avoid repetition and maintain clarity.
  3. Section Titles:

    • Since you already have an "Activities/Leadership" section for your finance-related clubs, you can create another section titled "Extracurricular Activities" or "Additional Activities" for your semi-academic clubs and research assistant role.
  4. Formatting:

    • Ensure each section is clearly labeled and distinct. This will help recruiters quickly identify and understand your involvement in various activities.

By organizing your resume this way, you maintain a clear and professional structure while showcasing your diverse experiences.
