Remote boutique analyst roles - realistic or fantasy?

Hear me out. I’m a final-year student from a top Indian college with prior IB experience. After an intensive internship (teasers, CIMs, pitch decks, valuations, market research), I’m questioning the typical path in India:

  • Roles are extremely hard to break into
  • Compensation at many boutiques is very low (~$5K/year)
  • MM/BB roles rarely hire undergrads here
  • So I’m considering a different approach.

What if I target US/UK/SG boutique or LMM IB/PE firms for fully remote analyst work?
I’m fine working their hours and would accept $9K–$12K/year. It’s massive cost saving for them and better exposure/pay for me.

I also built and scaled a website to 2,500+ users, so I can work independently and async.

Questions:

  • Is this feasible from their perspective?
  • How do I find and pitch such firms?
  • Anyone here seen remote cross-border analyst setups?
  • Any smaller shops on this sub open to this model?

Honest feedback appreciated.
