RESIGNATION letter

Does anyone have a sample resignation letter they wrote, or any advice on how to write a resignation letter?

...I searched WSO... didn't find much... any advice would be appreciated!

Tell your boss and send an email to HR letting them know you gave your two week notice today. CC your personal account for future proof.

Who the fuck writes a letter.

If you're leaving before your two years are up does it even make sense to give two weeks notice?

People tend to think life is a race with other people. They don't realize that every moment they spend sprinting towards the finish line is a moment they lose permanently, and a moment closer to their death.

Macro ArbitrageI'm about to resign from an internship and it would be impossible for me to give two weeks notice and hence I intend to inform a senior trader and then send follow up with an email to the head trader.

Resigning from an internship eh? Must be pretty bad...

It was great- learn't a lot and met some awesome people, however I need to write an exam that I deferred last semester in a few days. Plus, I've made a few short travel plans.

when i resigned from my last job i was required by company policy to write and sign a letter. when i sat down with my boss to break the news i went through the whole 'this is tough, really like it here, etc', but for the formal letter which ended up in some permanent HR file, it simply said (more or less):

Dear Manager,

This letter is to inform you that I will be resigning from my position and leaving Firm. My last day as an employee will be Date. I have enjoyed my time here and appreciate your guidance and mentorship as my manager.

Sincerely,
