It’s actually very common and most HHs emailed me at work (it’s just easier for them when everyone has the same email format and they can blast out to everyone).

Typically their intro forms let you do a preferred contact email so you can transition things to a personal email that way.

Stupid or not, I did all my PE recruiting from my work email. It was just easier to be able to correspond at the office from my work laptop, and also easier when I was doing model tests etc to be able to use my setup I was familiar with.

Like ya IT/compliance/etc can probably figure out I’m recruiting, but I’m at a big enough bank where I am pretty confident IT doesn’t actually care what I do, and I highly doubt they’re going to read emails to a headhunter and tell your manager. Basically every analust in my class did everything from work computers and no one had an ossue

I simply said please send all opportunities to my personal and gave them it.

Is it dicey to respond to recruiters on my work email address? I don't really want my bank knowing that I am recruiting. Could mean your first on the chopping block if the market really takes a downturn?
