Return offer Follow-up
If I did not receive a return offer and I want to thank the team, do I email every person on the team, or just the ones I was closest with? Only got positive feedback, but not sure what happened.

Are you sure you want to thank the people that thought you weren’t good enough to do the job? If yes, would just send an email to the people you worked with the most, not the whole team.
Valid point, but I feel like it's right to put ego/negativity aside and thank them/be professional (everyone did help in some way over the summer and Idk what caused no RO. Could be out of their control too quick to hop to conclusions). Happy to hear opinions though
Yeah that’s likely fine, I’d also be curious as to why I didn’t get the return. Maybe schedule a phone call with whoever you worked closely with? I feel like if it was an email they would give some BS answer as to why you didn’t get the RO.
Got screwed over with returns last year, but put my ego aside and sent a thank you email that was personalized to each person on the team that I interacted with meaningfully. I found it powerful in both helping me move past the decision, and also the analysts/associates that knew the decision was unfair reached out to say they’d be happy to serve as references and connect me with other firms which was really helpful.
