SA 2021 LDN Urgent Help Needed
Hi there, I'm entering my final year at a target in the UK and need some help in standing out in applications. I don't have relevant IB experience nor some leadership position in my university's finance society but have done online courses and virtual programmes with investment banks. Can I break in?

maybe? if we had your CV we could surely give you more insights. When you say non target is it still a decent uni or a total crap uni?
Also you don't necessarily need to have leadership positions in the finance societies, sports are fine as well, pretty much anything works
Target as per my previous post. I could share my CV but not much to add to what I’ve already told you. Good to hear though that past experience is not a requirement - all the people I know who got summer in IB had past experience. If you are in IB in LDN and you are reviewing CVs, what is the thing you look for then?
Sorry must have been mistaken from another post. Look from a target with little/no work experience I just want to see some interesting things - ie I have previously interviewed Olympics athletes... Not saying its a requirement, but if you have anything you are passionate about and that would make you stand out that'd be great.
No worries. Yeah I’d like to ask you actually. I’m into a mix of things from cooking to weight lifting (not sure this is safe to put this under interests) and even starting some “exotic” activities (meditation). How could I sell this? Also thanks for putting up with all these questions on a Sunday evening!
I’d put all of them but be specific- cooking what kind of dishes? Weight lifting are your 1rep max impressive? This will make it easy to spark a discussion rather than be a plain ‘I cook and go to the gym buy’. If you tell me you love cooking middle eastern food or whatever now we’re talking!
