Salary for SA IBD as a sophomore
Hi all, first I'd like to acknowledge how lucky I am to have this lined up and am not trying to be finicky about this, just desiring more knowledge.
I'm a sophomore, and have a S&T role at one of the BB lined up this summer, but the pay is a good deal less than what I've heard about here and from other sites for junior SAs. The role is in HK and upon talking to contacts there have been told that this is the going rate for sophomores if/when they occasionally have them, and was just wondering if this is true in your experiences. They will also be covering room and airfare.

I was a sophomore IBD summer analyst, and i got paid the same as the juniors.
60k pro-rated; this was for a NYC office though.
if they are paying you less, than I doubt its the normal S&T SA position
I'm a sophomore with SA S&T at BB and mine is prorated ~73K USD
When I did my sophomore S&T position in HK, the pay was 62K pro-rated so about 5K a month plus housing, airfare, some meal allowances and no taxes (best part). Are they at least giving you housing? If not, Hong Kong is pretty freaking expensive.

I don't really care if you believe it or not, but here's a hint: it's not a position in the US, and the currency I'm being paid in is doing very well against the dollar.
