Senior Finance Analyst or FP&A Corporate

Hi guys, I’m trying to get a job as Senior Finance Analyst or Corporate FP&A roles. I’m coming from a Public Acctg Background. I’ve done 3 years Audit Senior niche mid sized firm in assurance or external audit, 2 years Fed Tax Big 4, 1.5 years internal Audit healthcare $22b revenue, and most recently Investing/Trading 1.5 years self employed. I left internal audit bc it wasn’t very stimulating intellectually and was burnt out, long overdue from so many busy seasons and not really passionate about audit/couldn’t see myself doing this forever and wanted to pursue trading which is something I’m passionate about and have been obsessed with since college. I went from $10k to $600k while working full time in 2021 and got wrecked in the bear market this year. I tried my best learned a ton, and realized I can just swing trade while working full time on my own when the bull market comes back. I expect this to happen next year.

I’m trying to get back into a Senior Finance Analyst or FP&A role, since I do not want to go back to audit as I believe it’s not for me and will burn out again due to the long hours and boring work. I’m very analytical/forward thinking/pattern based/conceptual/strategic and audit is very past oriented, memorization of rules and there’s no creativity and strategy. Also, it’s very repetitive and I didn’t feel like I was adding any value to Company. I did enjoy working with other people, being on a team, presenting/interacting with clients from audit and doing technical work.

I’m currently up skilling by learning SQL, Tableau, R thru Google Data Analytics Cerification and took a Financial Modeling Course with Career Principles which was pretty easy and felt like this is something I’d be really good at and enjoy.

If there’s anyone who can help refer me or help me land a job I’d really appreciate it.
