Ship Broker vs Transaction Banker as a Career
Hi All,
I am offered a job as a shipbroker in ICAP Singapore, and also as a graduate trainee in Global Transaction Banking in Deutsche Bank...need your advice as to the career prospects and challenges at both...currently the offered basic pay is similar..thanks in advance for your advice!
Apparently shipbroking salaries start low but get quite rewarding after a few years due to bonuses/commission. Its supposed to be hard work too, however. http://www.myshipbroker.com/shipbroking-as-a-profession.html
if you accept it though, make sure you dont tell people what you do when you're drunk/pronounce it really clearly.
