Should I apply to Internships at Blackstone

Hi,

I graduated with two bachelors in Economics and minored in Accounting. I have 5 years retail/commercial branch banking experience. I have been getting no where with my career searches and I am currently taking online classes in Quantitative Financial Modeling. I see a lot of internships at Blackstone. My question is should I apply for a internship to help with my career goals in finance. Because of my experience in retail branch banking the feedback I get is that I do not have enough IB or corporate fiance experience.

Will a internship at help me with my career goals or will it be a set backwards although I graduated from college?
