Should I graduate early?

I'm a first year at Georgia Tech studying CS and I came in with enough credits to graduate a year early.

Pros:

- Out of State, I could save $55k

- Get a head start on my career

- This school is extremely difficult, one less year I have to spend studying at an overly rigorous school

Cons:

- Could potentially hurt internship recruiting since I'd be applying to SA 2026 with no prior internships lined up having come straight form HS

- Heard people say that real life job even if your in NYC is not as fun as college

Also if anybody from a rigorous non-target school knows how to have fun in college I'd greatly appreciate the advice. It seems like all I'm doing here is just studying and networking.

Don’t do it, if anything just graduate one semester early. Spread out your classes and get a higher GPA. Enjoy college, and while you might be excited to get an IB job it’s not worth leaving college early for it. On top of that, recruiting as a freshman right now for summer analyst roles right now will put you at such a disadvantage in both the eyes of the bank and in terms of preparedness. Everyone’s built connections for over a year, but you’d have just a few months. Play it safe but best of luck to you regardless of what happens
