Should I pick consulting over IB?

I am a first year student trying to break into IB, I got two offers rn one is for consulting and one for IB. I know that a very normal pipeline is to start out first internship in consulting and go into banking for the next one. I am in a weird position because the consulting group I got an offer from for this summer, is nearly 10x bigger and more of an international brand than the IB firm. The ib firm is still pretty big having offices in EU US etc but im not sure which one to choose. Which one would be a better first internship if I want to end up in IB? The IB group hasn't been announced to me yet, but I hope ill be doing M&A, i found a person to advocate for me but idk if that increases my chances or not.
