Should I still pursue?

Not sure if I should still keep pushing and how do I go about it... have been coldcalling/cold emailing boutqiues. Need your guys advice on 3 different situations.

1) Cold emailed a MD of a fairly recognized boutique, he mentioned I might be a bit late in the process, but forwarded my email to another person responsible for recruiting. He got back to me and said they're in the final rounds of recruiting and will make decision shortly. Is there anyway for me to keep pushing her and ask her to invite me for an interview or should I just drop it? Said they'll keep resume on file for future opps.

2) Emailed another small boutique - i'm not sure if it's a one man firm, since it's named after the Founder and founder got back to me. He said the work the firm at this point would be below my level of qualification. Do you think it would be shit work? ie. nothing to do and just sitting on my ass? Should I still pursue or let it go?

3) One more question - when you get an email back saying they don't have a formal summer internship program in place. How do you word the email into saying you can help them doing whatever's necessary and ease them off a heavy workload? Or is it best to just leave it and give up on the firm once you get a reply like that?

Thanks

2) If someone tells you it's below your qualification, taking it only shows how desperate you are. A company's always willing to take people on for bitch work. If they do you the favor of being upfront about it being bitch work they think is beneath you, take the hint.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
